6.3.9. authentication port-control

Syntax

authentication port-control (auto|force-auth|force-unauth)

no authentication port-control

Parameter

auto Need passing authentication procedure to get network accessibility.

force-auth Port is force authorized and all clients have network accessibility.

force-unauth Port is force unauthorized and all clients have no network accessibility.

Default

Default is disabled.

Mode

Interface Configuration

Usage

Use authentication port-control command to enable the port authentication control mode. Use the no form of this command to disable authentication port control.

Example

The following example shows how to configure port control to auto mode.

Switch(config)# interface fa1
Switch(config-if)# authentication port-control auto
Switch# show authentication interface fa1
Interface FastEthernet1
Admin Control : auto
Host Mode : multi-auth
Type dot1x State : disabled
Type mac State : disabled
Type web State : disabled
